What is it, and how does it work?
Why does the evaporation rate matter?
It determines your running costs. A vessel losing 0.12 instead of 0.20 litres per day saves considerable nitrogen over its life — and you refill less often.
What makes the gold standard?
Between inner and outer vessel is a high vacuum with super-insulation that almost entirely stops heat conduction. Auguste Cryogenics gives a five-year warranty on it.

Which product — or which supplier — should I choose?
How long does a vessel last without refilling?
Holding time is capacity divided by evaporation rate and depends on the model. Plan your delivery interval with a reserve.
Which neck opening do I need?
Narrow neck openings hold the cold longest. Among the vessels, rack systems are only available in the -B versions of the AC 2XL and AC 3XL series (including AC 2XL50T-B), as well as a rack storage system for the AC BIO 430, AC BIO 860 and AC SYS 480 with frame freezers, and for the AC DS10-B, DS15-B and DS25-B dry shippers. Decide on your sample format first, then choose the container.
Straws, vials or blood bags — what goes where?
Short canisters are primarily intended for straw storage, while long canisters each hold two goblets and are suitable for both straws and cryovials.
What is the quickest way to find the right model?

Transport & logistics
How do I move it safely from A to B?
Which vessels may I transport filled on the road?
These vessels are designed for transport from the factory and approved under ADR: all vessels up to 10 litres and the T models. When filled, they may only be carried on public roads in accordance with the GGVSEB or ADR regulations.
What is a dry shipper and when do I need one?
A dry shipper holds the nitrogen in an absorbent material, so nothing can leak. Under IATA the dry shipper is not classified as dangerous goods, because there is no free liquid nitrogen in the vessel.

Yes. Spare parts are guaranteed over the entire service life — canisters, racks, castor sets and lids are available for every series.
Are there reseller conditions?
