What sets the series apart
The absorbent decides.
A dry shipper is charged with liquid nitrogen, the excess is poured off, and the absorbent inside holds the rest. The vessel stays cold without any free liquid. That is what makes it shippable. The 2 transport series of the range, drawn to scale:

Every dry shipper comes with its storage system. The letter at the end of the model name tells you which one, exactly as in the storage series.

Reading a model name

Every name follows the same pattern. The size class is the vessel size; the nitrogen it absorbs is smaller (DS12: 6.8 litres).

Good to know before you choose
What the numbers mean in daily use.
Holding time and shipping time
The static holding time is a nominal value from the 2026 data sheet; in use it can differ. The shipping time is the shorter value we recommend for a shipment, with a buffer for delays and handling.
Charge before every trip
Fill the dry shipper, let the absorbent soak, then pour off the excess nitrogen. Only then is there no free liquid. A data logger from the accessories records the temperature on the way.
ADR and IATA approved
Current wording in shop and finder for every DS model. The safety statement of Auguste Cryogenics (PDF) can be enclosed with the shipment.
Vessel or transport case
Weight empty is 3.2 to 15 kg. The transport case from the accessories protects the vessel and keeps it upright in the carrier’s network.
