The vacuum-insulated aluminum containers of the L, XL, XL+, 2XL, 2XL+, and 3XL series from the Auguste Cryogenics Medical Family are cryogenic freezers designed for long-term storage of biological material in liquid nitrogen - offering numerous applications in laboratories as well as medical, pharmaceutical, and industrial facilities.

Depending on the model and configuration, static hold times ranging from three weeks to over six months are achievable. Biological material can be stored either in the liquid or vapor phase, according to specific requirements.

Model Overview:

L, XL, XL+, 2XL, 2XL+
These models differ primarily in neck diameter (50, 80, 90, 125, and 127 mm) and are standardly equipped with either short (-S, 120 mm) or long (-L, 276 mm) canisters. Short canisters are primarily intended for straw storage, while long canisters each hold two goblets and are suitable for both straws and cryovials in racks. They are ideal for structured storage of medium to large sample quantities in the liquid nitrogen phase; storage in the vapor phase is also possible with long canisters, if required.

2XL-B and 3XL-B
Featuring neck diameters of 125 mm and 216 mm, these models are standardly equipped with stainless steel racks and cryoboxes (-B). Ideal for systematic storage of large quantities of cryovials or blood bags - in either vapor or liquid phase.

T-Models
Specially reinforced aluminum containers designed explicitly for transporting stored samples. They comply with ADR regulations for hazardous goods transport by road and rail.
Example: AC L20-S (standard) and AC L20T-S (T-version).

AC FREEZER Series
For exceptionally large sample volumes: robust stainless steel high-capacity freezers with capacities of 430 L, 480 L, or 860 L - suitable for vapor or liquid phase storage. Ideal for research institutions, biobanks, and universities requiring high-capacity solutions.
